Rising to prominence as bassist/lyricist/vocalist with post punk pioneers Wire, Lewis has simultaneously forged a parallel career as a solo artist and an arch collaborator.

His work ranges from the rigorously experimental, to his own brand of electronic pop. From the glimmering seductive songs released under his He Said moniker, to his collaborations with such sonic mavericks as Thighpaulsandra, Valentina Magaletti, Ted Milton, Klara Lewis, Mike Watt, Mark Spybey and ex-Wire guitarist Bruce Gilbert.

2025 saw the release of Lewis’s most recent solo album, the expansive ‘Alreet?’, and the reviews were fulsome in their praise.
