Under the name Annabel (lee), Sheila Ellis and Richard E, create music of a strange spectral beauty. Their award winning debut album ‘By The Sea… And Other Solitary Places’ was released by Ninja Tune and minted a sound that invokes the haunting classicism of Claude Debussy and Erik Satie, intermingled with the quiet folklore of Nick Drake, tipped with the jazz stylings of Antonio Carlos Jobim. Whilst their follow up album ‘The Cleansing’ was even better.
