COSEY FANNI TUTTI x BOMBART
- Nobody Ordered Love
- HL27
- Release date | tbc
Having seen both her work and her character vilified during the early decades of her career, Cosey Fanni Tutti has become one of the UK’s most celebrated visual and sonic artists. Her performance art with COUM was marked by its confrontational qualities. With Throbbing Gristle, she was instrumental in creating the Industrial music genre, whilst her work with partner Chris Carter, as first Chris & Cosey, then Carter Tutti, has seen her expanding the palette of electronic music. Meanwhile, her visual artworks are in permanent collections all around the world.
‘Nobody Ordered Love’ was recorded in 2021, as part of Bombart’s ‘The Missing Horrors’: a sound art project, with texts written by Graham Duff. Here, Tutti’s unmistakable vocals sit at the heart of a mix created by sonic mastermind Peter Harris, with Fat White Family’s Saul Adamczewski providing unsettling ambient contributions, and percussion from Fritz Catlin of 23 Skidoo.
The flip side features an exclusive remix courtesy of Damon Reece of Sun’s Signature and Massive Attack. Heaven’s Lathe are very proud to be able to release this unique single.
