From his pioneering of dub techniques, to his ability to spot emerging talents, to his surrealistic word play, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry always walked his own path.

Perry’s last recordings were for Bombart’s sound art project ‘The Missing Horrors’, broadcast on Radio Alhara. Fusing dub reggae and spoken word with experimental electronics, co-ordinated by musical director Peter Harris and curator/writer Graham Duff.

Heaven’s Lathe are honoured to release this 12” mini album, which includes selections from ‘The Missing Horrors’ as well as other pieces created by Harris and Perry. The two men had collaborated over a number of years and these pieces display the vitality of work: Here, Perry delivers lyrics that engage with themes of both morality and his own mortality.
